Summer festival KO at Palace Theatre

A new summer festival in Watford kicks off this weekend, with live music, dancing, art exhibitions, film and various workshops running across local venues from 6 to 20 June, organised by Watford Community Arts Network.



Watford Live is a platform for the many creative groups acoss the town to showcase their talents and encourage more locals to get involved in music, theatre and art.



The festival will feature over 40 live music acts, with a mix of comics, poets, actors, artists, DJs, film makers and dancers at venues including The Amber Rooms (pictured), Watford Palace Theatre, The Horns, Watford Market and Watford Colosseum.



The festival opens with Billy Blister’s Circus at the Palace Theatre on Saturday, and closes on Sunday 20 June with Daydreamers Company presenting Dominoes Falling at the same venue.



The many festival workshops are for both adults and children, and include singing, dancing, circus skills and writing.



Other organisations that are involved in the running of the festival include Insprial Arts, Watford Palace Theatre, Newton Price Centre and the Watford Area Arts Forum, and Watford Borough Council.
